Basic Boundaries

2008

Upholstered screen with zipper, Stainless Steel, Powder-coated Steel, Polished Aluminum

Basic Boundaries explores basic architectural conditions in two manners: first it denotes an intimate space for two people to stand within, heightening the relationship between the participant’s body languages. Secondly, its rectilinear form unfolds to become a room divider; the upholstered screen weaves through an interior space, using color and pattern to define an inside and outside. The bright yellow stands demarcate a perimeter on the floor, sub-dividing a room with a minimal amount of form.
